What is The Association of Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) approval?
When a course is AHDI approved, this means it has been evaluated by a peer review process against a minimum set of standards for entry-level medical transcription professionals.
TranzMed's Medical Transcription Certificate Program is approved by the Approvals Committee for Certificate Programs (ACCP), a joint committee established by The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and AHDI to approve medical transcription education certificate programs.
The benefits of enrolling in an AHDI approved program
-
- It gives you, the student, an assurance that the training program you have chosen meets required quality standards in respect to the content and delivery offered under the tuition agreement.
- Only specialized programs that meet established medical transcription educational standards can be approved by AHDI.
- Certificates gained through approved programs will have more value for prospective employers.
- Approved programs provide reasonable assurance that practitioners possess the necessary job skills upon entry into the profession.
- Approved AHDI programs promote a better understanding of the goals of professional medical transcription education.
